I am Sparta ... no I'm not I'm Fi Cotter Craig and my comment isn't going to be one of my usual flippant observations. Reading this blog is one of the best parts of any of my days, I love what Tania writes about and how she does it. However over and above all that I love the collective sharing, the generosity, the kinship, the lack of anyone laying down the law or having strong opinions THAT MUST BE LISTENED TO. Instead there are gentle suggestions, thoughts and confidences offered in a spirit of helpfulness. Today's comment by Emily typifies Tania's 'dear readers' at their absolute best, it was short, intensely personal and real. I punched the air with the revelation of the day that began so un-prepossessingly endeing so triumphantly. I can only imagine what it must feel like to be the lodestar to whom we all look for inspiration. Miss Kindersley, I salute you.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1365244084462704027.post-56186244099667538792014-03-07T15:34:35.930+00:002014-03-07T15:34:35.930+00:00Tania, I was thinking of you this morning, as I qu...Tania, I was thinking of you this morning, as I quite often do. Your wise words often make me determined to be nicer, try harder and be happier about the small things, all things the Vicar also advocates, funnily enough.

I've had the worst week work wise, and almost cancelled my riding lesson for lack of sleep, too much work and incredible grumpiness. But I didn't and I thought that I must make a real effort to leave my crossness at the gate as you've said before. And I had the most fabulous lesson, jumping on the beautiful competition horse who is far too good for me, with his lovely owner instructing. I came away feeling as if I could fly and today hasn't been nearly as awful as I'm sure it would if I'd stayed hunched over my laptop all morning.

Slightly off topic but I've been dying to tell you all day!Emilynoreply@blogger.com
