Do agree; if he had not ...Peter - how kind you are. Do agree; if he had not missed the start, he probably would have won by five lengths. And I don't think he could have done what he did at Ascot or York on that ground. In the end, he had the measure of them all. I just felt that what we saw was the fighting Frankel rather than the imperious Frankel, and in some ways that was a fitting note on which to end. If it had just been another procession, it might have been almost anti-climactic. I liked that he had to dig deep. Although all this is only in comparison to his own stratospheric standards. Queally might have given him a bit of a shake-up, but he was not asking all the questions. A bit like Ruby says of Big Buck's, I'm not sure we ever got to the bottom of him. You write so beautifully about horses, whether it's Frankel or Red or little Myfanwy (and I don't mean that in any sort of descending order way!). <br /><br />So yesterday I made sure I was home and in front of the television before the race started.
