Unfortunately despite every effort to overcome this problem it wasn't to be and I had to withdraw Tia. But no excuses for the charmless person. Love the title of this post.

SueAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1365244084462704027.post-13138067727178817182013-10-11T14:18:16.627+01:002013-10-11T14:18:16.627+01:00I spit on Charmless People everywhere! It is not in the least an affront to Stanley (who is just gorgeous and wonderful), but the other owner could have handled things better. I had a wonderful Rottweiler whose only fault was that she loathed small fluffy white dogs. Any other colour was fine. Since I used to walk her off lead, this was the only time I'd call her back, cross the road and just say "Sorry, she doesn't like small dogs". The warning signs were very, very subtle. She would be incredibly happy to play with any other dog she met, but we also had people scared of her. And it can be hard to have to keep responding nicely to those people, mindful that we were ambassadors for her breed.

Extra scruffles to Stan, gentle scratches to Red and her girls.Erikahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08181307209370955942noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1365244084462704027.post-17241212980591123012013-10-10T22:35:22.762+01:002013-10-10T22:35:22.762+01:00Charmless Person is simply a human manifestation o...Charmless Person is simply a human manifestation of that latest feline meme...Grumpy Cat.

Stanley is so above and beyond all "that"!Pat (in Belgium)https://www.blogger.com/profile/02367089351412953926noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1365244084462704027.post-13171039770506068512013-10-10T21:27:09.737+01:002013-10-10T21:27:09.737+01:00WHAT?! I know EXACTLY what you mean. I had the same experience recently when my dog; who to be clear resembles a soft, cute teddybear on a lead. He gambollled up to someone only to be met with outrage and swearing. I was so affronted - as was my dog! And what is it about dog owners who before any kind of 'meet and greet' is even hinted of states that their dog 'doesn't like puppies/other dogs/boy dogs/fluffy dogs etc' Grrrr. Anyway - nobody puts Stanley in the corner - you win for best blog post title today. :-) L xLouhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13457538074763854583noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1365244084462704027.post-37972317503711870952013-10-10T20:19:18.529+01:002013-10-10T20:19:18.529+01:00I believe people come to look like their dogs; it ...I believe people come to look like their dogs; it seems this dog returned the favor. Some folks are hard to smile at when you pass them by.
Lovely pictures.Joanne Noragonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09834682329952369721noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1365244084462704027.post-79642563177601464742013-10-10T19:30:35.739+01:002013-10-10T19:30:35.739+01:00Would I were in such a situation, I would have smi...Would I were in such a situation, I would have smiled sweetly, and said, "Have a nice day, Mrs. Pleasant." Had it gone further, I would have wanted to beat that bitch down through the ground though I would never do such a thing (well, that depends). I wish I was a person that could let things like that go, like water off a duck's back, but alas, I am just not that person.donna bakerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13507579686738843451noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1365244084462704027.post-24455420666066972422013-10-10T18:53:45.392+01:002013-10-10T18:53:45.392+01:00Sometimes I throw reason to the winds and think it...Sometimes I throw reason to the winds and think it's all to do with the stars. I too am scratchy and fretful at too much reality today, and the lurch from hot to cold weather is definitely part of that. Never mind, let's hold onto the edges and hope for realignment tomorrow, gorgeous, gorgeous photographs - those violet slopes are heavenly, RachelAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
