I never realised that a lovely young lady could bring a tear to my eyes with one question. Thanks for the support Tanya. Perhaps then you wouldn't bother to write, because doesn't that have to come from that place of tension, or discomfort, that striving and reaching? Isn't that where the bloody art must be pulled from kicking and screaming at times (which is better than cold and blue and not breathing I suppose)? If you were all Mrs Cloonied up so to speak, that would be our loss, and Horseback's too. makemeadivahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03086231767791539718noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1365244084462704027.post-64984382571725624102015-01-13T18:32:40.592+00:002015-01-13T18:32:40.592+00:00Could one ask about how writing came to be your fi...Could one ask about how writing came to be your field? Maybe that's a story you've already told - I haven't been following you for long - in which case I'll have a dig in the archives. Writing isn't particularly an ambition of mine, but I'm at a career impasse and desperately in need of role models. As you said, watching people being good at what they do is joyful, and so I ask.

I hope one day I'll be able to say that I, too, have a handle on my twinges of comparison and competition. Or even that I've managed to let a few unachievable dreams drift off. Why is it so hard to accept that there are innumerable things that we don't need to or, somehow worse, cannot excel at?Tuulinoreply@blogger.com
