36 hours to deadline.
And…..
the thing is DONE.
Done done done done done done done.
As you may see, I am now officially out of words.
There shall be many, many, many tomorrow.
Instead: here is a thing of beauty and a joy forever:
And some beeches in the morning sun:
And a random lavender, just because:
Some lovely misty trees:
The hill, from a different angle than usual:
Should you be a new reader, who has just stumbled upon this blog for the very first time, I do apologise. It really is not always like this.
For those of you who are regular readers, I can only thank you for putting up with the last manic weeks.
Now I am going to sit very, very still, quite possibly in a darkened room. I'm not sure I ever was so tired in my whole wide life.
And I did take my mother's advice, and made some chicken soup.
Hoorah for you!!! Now put your feet up and rest. Or throw some balls for Pigeon. It will take a while to come down from the mental fatigue, so go easy on yourself. x
ReplyDeleteYes! Hoorah! We never doubted that you could do it... now enjoy a well-deserved rest. And think of us Readers who now have to wait (how long?) before we can buy the fruits of your labours...
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. Go for a walk with Pigeon. Your tiredness will vanish!
ReplyDeleteDeb - thank you so much. We did a lot of happy stick-throwing. I think you are right, so I am going to go gently.
ReplyDeleteCassie - so lovely, as always. After all the Dear Readers have had to put up with I think at least you should get bonus chapters or special previews or something. I only hope that after I made all this fuss, the thing doesn't turn out to be a bit of a let-down. :)
Mystica!! - I know it sounds mad, but I had been thinking I had not heard from you in a while, and was fretting slightly. I always wonder when one of the regular readers goes offline. So am very, very happy to hear from you and thank you for your kind words, as always.
Congratulations! What a relief for you! And I'm sure the patient Pigeon will be ever so grateful, as well, now that you'll be able to do more walking and stick-throwing.
ReplyDeleteThe beeches are so beautiful and stately. I'm going to add them to my repertoire of peaceful mental images.
Hats are being thrown into the bloggy air. 36 hours to do with as you please.
ReplyDeleteMy sister, when small, left a note on my parents pillow, "I have had a nuff". It came to mind today, having been brought partly to the surface by your 'I got nuthin' blog. Well done! x
ReplyDeleteVery well done!
ReplyDeleteLove the photo of the misty trees.
Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteWarmest good wishes
Sue
Congratulations Tania. I hope you have a relaxing holiday lined up - you certainly deserve it.
ReplyDeleteOh well done, you! It's been a huge year for you, and to come in with 36 hours to spare is just brilliant.
ReplyDeleteGo frolic, rejoice, and all that fine stuff. M xx
YIPPEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDelete(Doing virtual cartwheels here, the only kind I CAN do...and reaching for the champagne flutes).
Bravo, Tania!

WHOOOOOOOOOOOPEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't help giggling every time there's a picture of the hill. From a slightly different angle. You slay me. 8-)
Oh, well done, well done, well done!!! Fantastic job. I do hope you enjoyed your chicken soup and stick throwing weekend, and went carefully back out into the world. Sincere congratulations xxx
ReplyDeleteI have to add that I still go through all my work and remove the double space. I learnt to type the same time as you and it's a hard habit to break.
Pardon me for just jumping in here sight unseen BUT as a lover of words and labs I am delighted to make your verbal acquaintance.
ReplyDeleteYou go girl.
Jane
